The Sailing Club at Classic Sail Barcelona

If you would like to come sailing regularly on Gemini at a reduced cost, join the club!

Learn by doing

For beginners, the skipper will show you the ropes and introduce you to the world of sailing.

For old hands, the club offers a unique opportunity to sail a very special and exciting cruiser/racer from 1947.

Learn to sail by getting out on the water and sailing. The atmosphere on board is informal, but you will learn rapidly by taking control of the boat. From the moment we untie from the dock, to the moment we return, the crew will handle all aspects of sailing the boat, under the supervision and instruction of an experienced skipper.

Practice your skills

Already have a sailing qualification? Looking for opportunities to sail regularly? The sailing club at Classic Sail Barcelona is a great place to build your confidence by regularly sailing a beautiful, fast classic yacht.

As well as boat handling, you will also learn about and practice navigation techniques, pilotage, collision regulations, weather forecasting, radar, GPS, communications, safety at sea, passage planning, and all the other skills necessary for safely navigating a yacht on an extended cruise.

The route to adventure

As the club develops, there will be opportunities to vary our activities, with night sailing, overnight trips, training days, extended adventure cruises and any other sailing activity that takes our fancy.

Join the club

Regular club sailing days normally take place during the afternoon. We sail through the week as well as on the weekend. Everyone gets the chance to be fully involved in sailing the boat.

The club is organised on Meetup.com. Simply sign up on our group page and you will be notified about all our sailing events. You can sign up to each event on the Meetup page. Our page is at Classic Sailing Barcelona Meetup. Classic Sailing Barcelona

Relaxing 3 hours away from the buzz

A very lovely afternoon with skipper Stefan and a welcome getaway from the hot city.

Catching the Sailing Bug!

I'd never been sailing, and had never really sought to do so through fears of a) getting wet and covered in salt water b) being shouted by some tyrannical captain who thought that everyone who gets on his boat is an utterly lost cause, ruining his day, and c) drowning. I was massively grateful then that my friends took me out with Dave on Gemini – changing my opinion on the subject forever, and instilling in me an addiction to sailing that I will carry to the grave.

Hands down, the best part of our trip!

Could there be anything better than having a beautiful old sailing boat to just you and your friends for the whole afternoon, in the blazing Barcelona sunshine? As we found out, no, there really couldn't.

Coolest boat I have ever been on

A must do for anyone who enjoys the water. Very knowledgable and laid back captain on a stellar sailboat. You will not be disappointed.

Great Fun

4 of us booked the boat for 3 hours on a glorious Saturday afternoon. Dave was a great Skipper, letting us drink and play music while he took care of the sailing.

A Must Do While Visiting Barcelona!

My sailboat trip around the coast of beautiful Barcelona was the highlight of my trip. Captain Dave was a gracious host and worked hard to ensure that our group had a wonderful experience on the blue water’s of the Mediterranean. The views were stunning and watching the sunset from the boat was both mesmerizing and magical. I would highly recommend a trip on the charming Gemini to anyone who wants to have a pleasantly unique experience. You won’t regret it.
